Beautiful Bea xxx

Last year I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the gorgeous Mason family, Lorna, Dave and little Bea.  The shoot was primarily to get some lovely images of Bea before she grew up all too fast!

Bea was an absolute pleasure to photograph, very smiley and fun, as were her parents!

Here are some of my favourites from the shoot…

I had to put this next photo in as Bea is clearly in charge here!  Some great leg action as well…

I love these two of Bea and Lorna…

I am currently taking bookings for family lifestyle shoots in April and May so please don’t hesitate to contact me for more info – info@helencawtephotography.com!

Leather Craftsman Rock! My new sample album…

When I opened my little package of album joy I couldn’t have been more chuffed – Leather Craftsman have done me so so proud and my first sample album is just stunning…  Soooooooo excited that I’ll be working very closely with these guys in the future as their attention to detail is spot on.  The distressed leather cover on this album smells divine, I just want to eat that smell right up!

All albums come in a silky black pouch and black keep-safe box to keep them looking their best.  My first client album also arrived a few days ago so I’ll share that with you soon!

Less of the talking, see for yourself…

Distressed leather with cover photo and engraving…

I love how chunky the pages are…  robust for lots of wear and tear…

Beautiful engraving on the spine…

Simple, effective album designs to really show off the images…

I love the double page spreads…

Look how flat the album lies when opened, stunning!

but perhaps not as stunning as Chloe… xxx

Contact me for more info on how to get your hands on one of these gorgeous albums or if you would like to see more photos…

Can you handle the cuteness? Olaf and family x

Olaf has to be the most perfect child you’ve ever seen!  Every time I’ve met up with these guys Olaf has won me over with his smiles, laughter and impressions of washing machines (yes really)!  When Elizabeth asked me if i’d get some shots of him I jumped for joy as I’d never seen Olaf cry or even look the slightest bit grumpy!  Olaf, unfortunately, had other ideas and decided that he didn’t really like the camera at all!  He moaned the whole way through and not even an ice cream seemed to really help matters!  I went home feeling like an absolute failure – I couldn’t even get a good shot out of the cutest child I’d ever met for crying out loud!  Thoughts of giving up photography altogether even went through my mind!

To my absolute shock horror (and delight I must add) somehow the photos were nowhere near as bad as I first thought and infact I’d almost go as far to say that they’re some of my favourites from this year!  I don’t know if someone magically swapped memory cards with me but I absolutely LOVE so many of the shots and Olaf even seems to be smiling in quite a few!  Since showing them to Elizabeth we both can’t quite believe it’s the same Olaf we photographed on the day!

My favourites are actually some of the moodier shots!  Olaf knew how to rock the camera that’s for sure!

Whose hat is it anyway??..

Beautiful Elizabeth…

Looking like a little old man (and perhaps a tad drunk!)…

It’s always fun when Dad’s around!…

A gorgeous gorgeous family.  I’ve got a whole lot of love for these guys!
